This scrambled words center can be added to your literacy center collection for word work practice.
This is another free resource for teachers from The Curriculum Corner.
This scrambled words center will be an easy to create word work center for your classroom.
The focus of these centers is on short vowel words. Most of the words in this set are three letter words.
Each card contains a colorful picture and a scrambled word.
Creating Your Centers
- Print the pages on heavy card stock. We are providing you with one set that has an all white background and an additional set with a blue patterned background. We know many of you do not have unlimited access to color ink for printing.
- Laminate the pages for durability.
- Cut apart your cards and place in a container or basket for storage.
- Students will need a dry erase or vis-a-vis marker.
Our Scrambled Words Center
This set contains 36 cards.
Each card has a short vowel word.
There is a color picture for each word.
Next to the word you will see the scrambled letters the word contains.
Students will unscramble the letters to create the word.
Add vis-a-vis or dry erase markers to your center for students to write the unscrambled words.

An idea for the kindergarten site-use some of these same pictures (and others) , same 3 lines under each picture, (take off the scrambled letters) and you have a CVC center!
