This free PowerPoint game is designed to give your students practice with estimating sums and estimating differences.
This is another free resource for teachers from The Curriculum Corner.
You can download this free PowerPoint Estimating Sums & Differences Game by clicking on the bold, bright red link at the bottom of this post.
This is our newest interactive math PowerPoint game. As many teachers are moving towards classrooms with less paper, we are working to provide resources to fit. These games for computer math centers or even whole class participation will be a great alternative.
We are planning to create a larger collection of math games to be used on your interactive whiteboard or at student computers. The PowerPoints we are creating will cover a wide range of math skills. We would like to provide you with an interactive option when you are introducing new skills or concepts.
These games will also make great reviews throughout the school year.
If you have a smart board within your room, display this game for a quick, engaging center.
Or, set this up on your student computers for morning practice or during math centers. Be sure to put scratch paper and pencils at the computers for students to work the problems if needed.
To use this with your whole class, give your students small white boards and dry erase markers. Display a slide with the problem, give students time to work the problem on their dry erase boards, then begin clicking on answers one by one. Students can self check and get excited as they see that their answers match the correct answers on the PowerPoint presentation.
This game focuses on estimating sums and differences by rounding to the nearest ten and hundred.
Correct answers during this rounding numbers game are praised with a slide!
How to Play
To play, students need to click on the “Click Here to Start” link and they will be taken to the first problem. When a problem is answered correctly, they will receive slide giving them some praise. Students click on the wording and are taken to the next problem. Students must click on the actual text for the slides to correctly work.
When students answer a problem incorrectly, they will reach a “Keep Trying” slide and will need to click on the words to be taken back to the original problem to try again.
The game is created so that the final slide is linked to return to the first slide.

Thanks so much for all the wonderful things you create. My suggestion would be to include more activities that have real world math problems. I know that is a major focus for us in math. There could still be just computation problems, just mix in some real world problems with them. :-) Thanks again for all you do!
