How this set will help your classroom
Creating a classroom environment that fosters a sense of belonging will help you build a positive community. Our new birthday calendar set is designed to help you celebrate each student’s special day in a fun and organized way. It will also involve the entire class in the festivities.
Our birthday calendar set includes jungle-themed posters. These posters provide a designated space for teachers to add their students’ names and birthdays. There is an editable pdf provided so teachers can add names and dates in the pdf. There is also a chart which is editable.
The set also includes coordinating jungle-themed certificates that can be personalized for each birthday student. There is blank space around the edges. This provides room for classmates to sign the certificates.
Birthday managers
Keeping track of birthdays can sometimes feel like one more thing to do. To help with this, my team has decided to have birthday managers this year.
Students will have the option to apply for this position as a classroom responsibility. You can choose to have a set of birthday managers for the year or rotate this job.
As birthday managers, students will be responsible for checking the calendar for upcoming birthdays. This task helps them develop organizational skills and a sense of accountability.
When a classmate’s birthday is approaching, the birthday managers will fill out the certificate with the birthday student’s name and date. They will also gather signatures from classmates on the certificate.
On the birthday, the birthday managers will present the completed certificate to the birthday student in front of the class. This presentation not only makes the birthday student feel special and appreciated but also fosters a sense of celebration among classmates.
Integrating this birthday calendar set into your routine is a simple way to make each student feel acknowledged.
