Use these bats & spiders scrambled sentences at a literacy center to help your students stay engaged while learning.
Need a seasonal literacy center? Read, Write and Draw It! activities are great! This set of bats & spiders scrambled sentences are perfect.
These two sets of Read, Write & Draw It! pages are perfect for easy, but engaging literacy centers to go along with your study of bats or spiders this time of year. The sentences on the pages are all facts so it will fit perfectly with an informational text focus.
Students cut out the words at the bottoms of the pages. Then they create meaning by arranging the words into a sentence, gluing them in the blank boxes, writing the sentence on the line, reading it for comprehension and finally illustrating the sentence to further show understanding.
The first link in each set doesn’t contain punctuation and doesn’t have the first word capitalized so students will need to remember to do that on their own when they write the sentences.
For those students who still need extra support, there is a second link provided that adds just that little bit of differentiation and includes the capitalized first word and punctuation mark. We have also provided blank pages so that you can differentiate even further by making up your own sentences using other spider or bat facts!
