The holidays are a great time to help children learn about differences in our world. One way you might choose to do this is by focusing on holidays in other parts of the world.
This is one of six books that will help children learn about holidays around the world.
This Diwali booklet contains 10 pages and can be printed front to back to help you save paper.
This booklet begins with a three paragraph passage that tells about the celebration of Diwali. The other pages provide opportunities for children to read more facts, color and complete sentences about the celebration.
As a fun extension, you might look to share common foods eaten during this time.
There are also pages that ask children to research to find additional facts. These are marked with a tablet picture in the bottom right.
We have also provided a link to a video to accompany your focus in the classroom. Look for the video below the download link for the booklet.
This video would be helpful to share before children begin reading and looking through the booklet.
