Preparing your morning entry
What options do you like to offer your students as they enter the classroom?
I always like giving my students choices that they will enjoy and that will help them get ready for their day.
You can offer a spot with LEGOs and another for drawing.
The students who enjoy talking might benefit from a bell ringer option. There are many ways you can present these. If you needed a printable version, grab these Bell Ringers for Intermediate Students.
Digital July Bell Ringers
These bell ringers are designed for teachers who would like a digital morning option. You can display these on your digital white board. If you don’t have one, they would also work display on a computer or iPad screen.
You might prefer a digital version so that you do not need to use the color ink and laminating film required to make them durable.
This download includes 35 slides with messages plus one blank slide.
The slides cover different holidays or celebrations – many of them are fun days such as Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day or Play Outside Day.
Each slide gives students a task to complete.
You can have students talk about the answers or record their response on the board.
Another idea is to provide children with Post-it notes.
Some slides might be a good opportunity to create a word list or to create a classroom graph.
