Working on Sequencing
Giving children exposure to sequencing practice can be helpful for a few reasons.
Children being able to sequence is a part of literacy. It can help with comprehension or helping children understand what is being read.
Sequencing is also a part of being a successful writer.
It’s not just a piece of literacy but it is also a basic life skill. Children will need to be able to order and execute a set of steps in life.
These Fall Sequencing Worksheets
This is a simple set of four worksheets for practice with sequencing skills.
All four have a fall theme. You will find the following:
- apple picking
- apple eating
- pumpkin carving
- raking leaves
To complete the pages, children will cut out the pictures at the bottom of the page.
Next, they will order and glue the pictures in the boxes on the middle of the page.
The final step is for children to read the sentences and fill in the missing words.
As an extension, you can encourage children to practice rereading the sentences for fluency practice.
