Fact/Opinion Sort Students learn about tree squirrels & chipmunks while also learning about the difference between fact & opinion. Graphic organizer also provided for quick assessment.
Vocabulary Words We have included a collection of words to fit the focus.. (Also includes blank template for additional words you may want to include.) Four simple vocabulary task cards can be used to help students practice reading and understanding the vocabulary words.
Compare & Contrast Organizer
Fluency Sentence Cards Students can practice their fluency skills while learning about grey wolves and coyotes.
Recalling Facts Organizers Four graphic organizers for students to use as they recall the facts they learned about grey wolves and coyotes.
Various Organizers & Resources For these organizers, you can place a basket of informational text books focused on wolves and coyotes in a basket at a literacy center. There are various pages for students to use along with a book they choose. Along with those, there is also a flip booklet that can be glued into an interactive notebook if desired, as well as a blank book students can use as a template to share their learning about these animals.
We suggest that you model these resources during mini-lessons first so that students know your expectations.
