Grab these free spelling number words resources for the number words one through twenty.
This is another free resource for teachers from The Curriculum Corner.
If your students need practice spelling the number words one through twenty, add these free resources to your classroom math collection.
Kids learn to count at a young age but we often notice many gaps in the spelling of the number words.
We believe it is important for students to be able to spell the number words correctly so we’ve created some practice activities.
The collection is broken into two groups. One set focuses on the numbers 1 through 10, the second set focuses on the numbers 11 through 20. The entire collection is available as a single download.
The spelling number words activities we have created include:
Number Word Checks These two pages can be used as a pre and post-assessment or just a check in if needed.
Number Word Searches Two pages. The first contains the words one through ten. The second contains the words eleven through twenty.
What’s Missing? You will find multiple versions of these pages. Both color and black and white are provided along with worksheets. The color and black and white work mats are designed to be printed on cardstock and laminated for durability. Students can use a dry erase marker.
Number Word Boggle There are three versions of this game. In Boggle, letters must be connected but they do not need to be in a straight line. Students might find number words or other math words in the grid.
Number Word Shapes Students write the number words in the correct word shapes. The numbers are not written in order.
Number Cards These are to be used for the next two activities. Simply print on colorful cardstock, laminate and cut apart the numbers.
Number Word Booklet You can add as many of the second page to the booklets as you would like. Students pick a number card from above and follow the directions for each number.
Draw & Write The number cards are again used for this. Students will choose a number card and write the number in the small box. A picture is drawn to show the number and then the word is written in the bottom box.
