Even though we all hope our older students have reached mastery of the basic facts, we know that many still are in need of repeated practice. We created these mixed math facts games to engage your older students in math fact practice. There are four different boards so students can practice a variety of facts.
To Play: Each student needs a playing piece and chips to cover numbers in the center of the game. One die is needed. On his or her turn, have a student roll the die and move that number of spaces. They answer the math fact and cover the answer in the center. Play continues until all numbers are covered. The student to cover the last number is the winner.

3/4ths of the way through the school year and a few of my fourth graders are still struggling with fractions because they don't have a solid grasp of their math facts. I have tried many other things: http://spiritedteaching.com/teaching-strategies/math-fact-games/
Hopefully, other teachers will find these ideas useful. It's a way of breaking the routine and trying to add some fun to it.
