Gender Reveal Party
Candy Shoppe Theme
After years of trying to convince my husband that we NEEDED baby #3, he was finally persuaded. Our families and friends were all surprised and I was just grateful to have just one more little one in our house…although at 7 and 9, our others aren’t so little anymore! When my first two were born, gender reveal parties weren’t big. We called our parents right after the ultrasounds followed by phone calls to our friends. This time, I wanted to do something a little more fun.
I went with a chalkboard and candy theme. Cute and trendy! Here is the invitation I used…

There are so many great ideas out there for a gender reveal party. Because we wanted our boys to enjoy it, we decided to use silly string. I found when I went shopping that it was difficult to find enough cans of one color. Because of this, I purchased two pink and two blue and wrapped the cans in white cardstock and then added a curly bow. This way my boys could have the reveal color and the other kids could share in the fun after the secret was shared. I then purchased an assortment of other colors for the kids to use after my boys revealed the gender. Of course, because we already have two boys, everyone was hoping for a girl. I was so sure it was another boy. My boys didn’t know until they sprayed the silly string either…
We found the candy for our candy buffet on Amazon in fun pink and blue colors. (The links are at the bottom of this post.)
