These fall scrambled sentences are designed to give your emergent readers practice reading simple sentences.
Print these scrambled sentence mats on card stock and laminate. Print the square sentence cards and cut apart. Depending on the needs of your students, you might put each sentence in a baggie and attach to the mat. Another option is to put the word squares in a pocket on the back of the mat.
We have created the square sentence cards to match the colors on the mats for easier sorting.
We know at some points your students will drop and intermix the sentences! Having the squares in different colors will make it possible for your students to sort the cards when this happens.
To complete the task, students will place the words in the correct order to match the sentence on the mat. The picture is provided to help your students establish meaning.
Also provided is a page for students to record the sentence. They will then draw a matching picture.
This set of 10 fall sentences will be an easy to put together center for your literacy work.
Some students might be overwhelmed by too many tasks in front of them. Make sure you look at the needs of your students and if best for your children, provide one sentence at a time. Others might benefit from being given the choice of choosing a sentence they like best.

I love that these are one task instead of having to draw something and write sentence out. Nice illustrations too. PS I do use the other form of sentence sheets for older kids. Thanks for providing both kinds
