Working on Counting
Like all skills, before working on pencil and paper activities, it is a good idea to engage students in hands-on activities.
You can begin by printing large number cards. After laminating, you can give students cards. Have them put themselves in order.
For younger kids, you might begin with just numbers 1 through 10. Other students might be ready to order larger numbers.
Next, you can remove a number. Have students get in order and determine which number is missing. This helps students work on counting, problem solving and teamwork all at once!
